An Important Update Regarding the 8th Annual Lifesaving Summit

Dear Lifesaving Summit Family:

For the last seven years, the Lifesaving Summit has delivered an exceptionally unique event that brings new attendees, alumni, sponsors, and partners together from across the US for the most powerful 3-day conference in the CPR+AED industry.

I personally wanted to share an important update regarding the 8th Annual Lifesaving Summit, previously scheduled for October 6–8, 2026, at Shocco Springs in Alabama with each of you.

After days of diligent consideration and prayer, I have made the extremely tough decision to cancel this year’s Lifesaving Summit. This was not a decision we made lightly.

Here’s a behind-the-scenes look: much of the work that brings the Lifesaving Summit to life happens during August and September, when all the unique details are finalized and carefully coordinated. Then, over the weekend before the Summit begins, we make a smooth handoff to our all-star, all-volunteer Summit Staff, who turn those plans into the experience you see and enjoy.

This year, a combination of team transitions and the exciting growth of the Lifesaving Summit created a logistical challenge we’ve never faced before, and one that required us to make an important decision:

Should we deliver a half-baked conference this year and risk impacting the attendee experience?

Or

Should we apply our CORE value of “Excellence in Service” and cancel the conference, give 100% refunds, and regroup so our next one is better and stronger?

The latter was the right choice. Please accept our apologies for having to cancel this year’s event.

What began as an idea to bring people together around a shared mission has grown into something we could have never fully anticipated. Over the past seven years, more than 500 attendees from nearly 35+ states (including Alaska and Hawaii) have traveled to Alabama to experience everything the Lifesaving Summit has to offer. Unforgettable speakers, sudden cardiac arrest survivors, first responders, instructors, healthcare professionals, and industry leaders have joined with our partners and sponsors to collaborate, share best practices, network, fellowship, and ultimately fulfill our vision to propel the CPR+AED industry forward. Some even call our conference a family union. There is nothing quite like it anywhere.

We are already collaborating on next steps for the next event with our incredible partners. As soon as we have details, all registrants and alumni will be the first to know.

Please continue to share your ideas, suggestions, and most importantly - passion - for strengthening the CPR+AED industry. We all make the biggest difference right in our backyards.
